You are here:Home/Blog/What We Do/Your Website is a Business Asset, Not a Business Expense
Circle Squared Publishing is a small business currently based out of Oriental, NC, a small town in Coastal Carolina. Nearly all of our clients are also small local businesses with a keen eye on their bottom line. When we work with our clients on web development projects our primary goal is to create a business asset, not a business expense.
What do we mean by “asset”?
When we say your website should be a business asset and not a business expense what we mean is that your website should be designed to generate new leads and drive sales. The cornerstone of lead generation is having a targeted goal. Without a goal in mind we can’t create a means for reaching it!
Increasing swim lesson enrollment: A recent example from Oriental, NC
Last week we were onsite at the Village Health and Fitness / Physical Therapy of Oriental working with them to drive awareness about their upcoming swim lessons. Their old website had a PDF form that the user would have to download, fill out and then snail mail back to the health club. Then someone at the health club would have to receive the letter and process it into the schedule.
Establish the Goal & Design Accordingly
Our solution was to create a responsive and mobile friendly online form that the user could submit straight from their mobile device. When the user submits the form the staff at the health club receives an email with all the information required for registration. Now all the staff has to do is follow up with user to confirm their time! This a much easier process for the user and the client and it also creates an easy to manage record of user submissions. No more sorting through stacks of paper trying to find that misplaced registration form!
Spread the Word
All sales channels should lead back to your website. This is the content you have total control over and it’s also where the conversion from prospect to customer takes place. We like to use Facebook as a tool for spreading the word about promotions such as this one. Training people to visit your website it a lot of work and most small businesses simply don’t have the time or resources to dedicate to creating content that builds a strong online following. We don’t have to train people to go to Facebook, we just need to make sure we can get a link back to our online form in front of them!
Facebook makes it super easy to share content on their platform. Even the most technologically averse can usually copy and paste a link!
Establish the goal. This is ultimately up to the client. We can help with brainstorming but don’t know your business as well as you do. In our case the goal was to increase swim lesson registrations.
Design with the goal in mind. The only thing we love more than a beautiful website is a beautiful website that generates leads! In this example we created an online form that would easily allow the user to submit and easily allow the client to process.
Spread the word! In this case we’re focused on getting people to register from swim lessons. We’re going to go to Facebook where we know people are already looking for things to do. By sharing a direct link to the online form we are creating an opportunity for prospects to become customers. We’re also creating a way for people to share our content thereby further increasing the likelihood of creating new customers!
In 5 days we’ve already had 3 new enrollments. All the information is securely backed up in a database as well as in the clients email account for easy reference. We’ve created an asset for the Village Health Club in the form of an online submission form that can easily be shared multiple times across multiple platforms. They can now begin using their website as a way to generate new business AND it looks good in the process! (we may be biased… )
Are you interested in creating an asset for your business in the form of a website? We’d love to be part of your success. Shoot us an email and lets talk about how we can make that happen. Or just use our online form and we’ll get back to you within 24 hours.
